Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the sales team of Travel Designers and the Operations Team Leader.
  • Source and evaluate candidates for sales team roles.
  • Review and allocate incoming travel requests among the sales team.
  • Ensure the sales team meets accuracy and deadline targets.
  • Assist in finalizing travel packages.
  • Address and resolve sales team issues with suppliers.
  • Provide support to the sales team with client interactions as required.
  • Develop and enhance sales tools for improved efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute special inventory promotions.
  • Participate in and deliver training sessions during team meetings.
  • Contribute to establishing and implementing sales team and individual goals.
  • Conduct milestone reviews for sales team members.
  • Maintain close collaboration with the Director of Operations.
  • Represent Custom Travel Company at trade shows and sales events when necessary.
  • Negotiate new contracts and foster relationships with suppliers.
  • Identify and screen potential new suppliers.
  • Forge relationships with premier agent networks.
  • Report directly to the CEO.

Requirements:

  • Proficient knowledge of Latin American destinations.
  • Previous experience in high-end hospitality or boutique travel agency oriented to the American market (at least 3 years).
  • Proven experience managing a team.
  • Excellent sales skills.
  • Availability for 30 to 40 hours per week with flexibility within office hours (9 AM – 5 PM Eastern Time - USA). The ideal candidate should preferably be based in Central/South America.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated reliability and ability to excel in a remote work environment.
  • A servant leadership work ethic, prioritizing team success over personal gain.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary + Variable compensation based on experience.
  • Potential for bonuses and commissions based on performance.
